PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)

MISSION

• Be able to design and design the control part and program of the equipment, including the sequential chart (grafcet)
• Participate actively to the automation roll-out plan of its entity, developing and fine-tuning automated stations
• Deploy the digital applications of the Group linked to the Production & the Supply Chain, such as the MES deployment, regarding the connection of PLCs to the MES
• Be able to troubleshoot and solve the machines’ reliability issues linked to PLC
• Ensure a sustainable good working of PLCs and mitigate the risks linked to PLCs

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Industrialisation

o Know and apply the  IProM procedure, including the Lean Process Design Methodology (for big automation projects)

o  Be able to do functional analysis

o   Analyse the operating and stopping modes of equipment

o   Apply standards in its area of expertise

o   Able to design the electrical and pneumatic plans of equipment

o   Support actively the ramp-up of new equipments to make them successful

o   To be able to create specifications in its area of expertise

o   Manage the subcontractors

o   Be able to create specifications in its area of expertise

• Production & Continuous Improvement

o   Monitor the performance (QCDM) of equipments to identify room for progress and implement progress actions in his field (for TRP, breakdown & microstoppages rate progress)

o   Perform continuous improvement of equipment of his perimeter (reliability, cost, performance)

o Work on Cycle time reduction to solve bottlenecks, bring savings and optimize investments, improving the HMACPI of its entity.

o  Work on the identification and implementation of automation projects 

o  Support the production & maintenance departments, to improve the MTTR ( analysis, problem solving)

o   Act for a fast & cost-optimized connection of machines’ PLC to the MES, with error codes management

o   Be able to transfer knowledge to production and maintenance people for an improved reactivity (1st level)

o   Participle to APU QRQC, according to site organization & need

o Work on obsolescence plans (identification & solving of issues)

o Work on breakdowns risks mitigation plan (identification & implementation)

o Be in contact with the suppliers (improvement, support)

o Perform benchmarking and market analysis in order to remain aware of last evolutions, trends and integrate them in its mid-term actions

• Safety & environment

o   Ensure the respect of Safety and Environment directives, including LOTO.

       o   Act permanently to reduce accident risks

• Act to improve the 5S (including machines’ documentation) and react to issues.

EDUCATION

• Manufacturing engineering, Maintenance, PLC knowledge & programming; Automation engineering degree, Industrial computer science

LANGUAGE

• Technical english + local language

OTHER SPECIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of PLC used in his perimeter : Siemens / Schneider / Rockwell ...
• Knowledge of Lan networks : Industrial Networks ( profinet , …)
• Knowledge of industrial 4.0 application
• Good methodology /Good interpersonal and communication skills. Diplomatic & persuasive
