METHODS PROCESS INJECTION ENGINEER

MISSION

Lead daily operation of his/her perimeter in molding APU such as continuous improvement, mold setting & debugging, start-up, processing, troubleshooting and problem solving in respect to the objectives assigned by the APU Manager. Spend most of the time on the shop floor.

Lead Industrial project such as implementation of new machine, equipment, automation and layout.

RESPONSIBILITIES

General:

1. Maintain quality standards on all products to ensure manufacturing with zero defect methodology including process documentation required.
2. Responsible for plastic part manufacturing according to the specifications in order to meet the requirement of quality, cost and delivery time for the site.
3. Provide support on new product launch tooling and process at each milestone through production, providing the manufacturing and engineering inputs for development of new process, parts and tooling.
4. Lead the process design and approval according to the Valeo standards & Procedure.
5. Identify lean & continuous improvement to existing process and tooling related to current product lines with regard to the cost, quality, and/or design.
6. Involve in a global coordination to improve and define standards. Identify and investigate potential new tooling concepts and processes.
7. Apply in his field safety procedure and have a role model in safety rule appliance.

Essential:

1. Identify lean continuous improvement on cycle time times, change over, scraps, quality, material cost reduction to existing process related to current product lines with regard to the cost, quality, design.
2. Lead daily continuous improvement activities on shop floor (quality failure analysis, cycle time, change-over, layout, reduction of defects and reduction of downtime....) and formalizes Kaizen card.
3. Set-up machine for production on mono and bi-injection molding machines. Operate overhead crane
4. Define and optimize molding process window, apply SPC auto quality with standard tolerances.
5. Develop and modify robot programs to handle parts without causing damage to the equipment, parts.
6. Working from sample parts or instruction, set up and operate standard or specialized machine tools and accessory control devices to make a wide variety of parts.
7. Support mold and robot EOAT design approval.
8. Support new tool debugging and validation to ensure reliable and robust production processes.
9. Perform periodically the Cmk analysis on injection molding machines.
10. Observe equipment and materials in process to determine or analyze cause of machine malfunctions; Repair and/or make necessary adjustments to equipment to obtain desired operating results.
11. Involved in a site coordination to share and define standards. Identify and investigate potential new tooling concepts and processes.
12. Provide technical support in preventive maintenance and periodic checks on assigned equipment as instructed. Move or assist to move any equipment as directed.

EDUCATION

Engineer degree or advanced technician in plastic engineering or automation.

EXPERIENCE

5 years in injection molding in technical automotive parts

or

5 years in Mold design engineering in technical automotive parts.

LANGUAGES

Local language + fluent English (High intermediate level of English – B2).
